Integrating digital literacy and digital technology

To integrate digital literacy and digital technology in my the lesson plan for the upcoming school year I would include the following:

- With my assistance I would allow students to set up a blog site.
- Have the students post information from the lesson learnt on their blog site and have other students comment on the information
- Have the students use the K.W.L. strategy to post things they know about a particular topic, state things they want to know about a topic and things that they have learnt about a topic, while using the blog site.
- Using the blog site, students can post expository essays and read the comments that other students/people have to post about the topic
- Use WIMBA, web-conferencing for students to work in groups for composing a story.
- Participate in the collaborative writing process of wikipedia encyclopedia so that students will be encouraged to compose and read on topics in order to broaden their horizon
- Have students use ERIC to conduct research on particular topics such as The Solar System, Weather, Religions of the world.

Feminism in the 21st century

Religion has come on board in recognizing that language plays a critical role in creating an egalitarian society. The use of inclusive language in songs and ceremonies serve to bring a cognizance of the equal importance of the female gender.
